Project Coordinator

Hi! My name's Ryan Parasiliti (par-suh-leeti) (he/him) (yes that is quite Italian). Thanks for coming by. I'm a dedicated servant leader, an interdisciplinary problem solver, and a goofy, midwestern dog lover. I'm also a Certified ScrumMaster®I've produced several published games including the award winning robot sandbox RoboCo, its Meta Quest VR spinoff Some Assembly Required, competitive multiplayer engineering game Robot Champions, a presidential history and interviewing game Brief the Chief made in association with the White House Historical Society, and more!I work for your people. I thrive in studios that can benefit from a resourceful, scrappy, jack-of-all-trades who, above all else, wants to support a team of talented developers and content creators.

A little about me

I'm a support character. I pridefully accept that. I find immense satisfaction in simply being helpful, the oil keeping the machine running. My priority will always be to facilitate a peaceful, productive day for my team by honoring their human experience, mitigating their pain points, and providing clarity in their work.Professionally, I've led as a senior project manager, instructional designer, teacher, and a lot between. My experiences are well rounded and diverse; they've taught me to be an empathetic manager, a resourceful thinker, and an expert communicator.

Also, I know what to google.

I used to be a professional photographer; I’ve loved photography since my first black and white film photography class in high school. I eventually settled on photography as a career path. I’ve worked for several studios, doing weddings, portraits, and school picture days, but then I stopped.

I didn’t stop because I chose other jobs, or because I wasn’t finding work. I burned out. I witnessed and experienced the ugliest sides of the photography industry, and my passion was left at the other side of the lens.No one deserves to burnout on what they love, their passion, their art. This is why I am a game producer. Like photography, talented, passionate people work on video games, and while I can help it, no one on my team is going to lose their passion for making games due to crunch, burnout, or neglect. I aspire to be the change I want to see in the games industry, and that starts with empathy.

  • People: As a team manager of both remote and on-site projects, I led subject matter experts, artists, journalists, and editors with a workplace philosophy of listening and learning. I’ve found compassion and empathy are the keys to guiding my colleagues to their goals.

  • Process: As a senior project manager for a global, nationally recognized tech company, I helped create dozens of efficient, scalable processes to deliver my team's goals according to our organization's priorities and resources, and I developed a talent for streamlining and improving workflows. I learned to adapt to a shifting environment where those priorities and resources were subject to drastically change.

  • Product: As an instructional designer and artist, I learned to seek opportunities for excellent communication using a bounty of perspectives and lived experiences. I implement those solutions through illustration, film, audio, verbal+written communication, and simple, effective design principals.
